Meticulous planning is essential in ensuring the success of a conference, meeting or event.  Of course, event technology plays a large role, too.  But the interplay of the key stakeholders, event management team, venue and vendors is crucial to creating a great event experience – both in the planning and execution stages.

The Event

The Lead Dog Meeting & Event Management team recently returned from planning and executing our largest and most complex event of the year.  It is a rewarding program that recognizes and highlights the talents and contributions of frontline employees through a game-show style competition.  The event, celebrating its 20th anniversary, showcases the depth of knowledge these employees need to perform a multifaceted job with skill and finesse. The event itself is an exhibition of teamwork – much like the extensive preparations required to make it happen.

Preparations 

For months in advance, Lead Dog works together with our client’s team of representatives from communications, learning and development, technical operations, and customer care to design and implement the program. Across the company, teams are forming, enhancing their skill and knowledge level and competing for the opportunity to represent their division at the national championships.  From the corporate perspective, all of this preparation both serves employee talent development and encourages the excellence that promotes stellar customer service.  From the individual participant’s perspective, it is a chance to be seen, be recognized, to show up and shine, and to compete for the coveted national title.

On-site

On-site, the Lead Dog Meeting & Event Management team makes it our goal to support the planning team and the attendees to ensure a wonderful experience for all. Continually looking to anticipate needs and exceed expectations, our team consists of caring staff members who are experts in their areas of on-site event management and are always ready to support each other and all program needs. Working with this group of top professionals is a true pleasure and a fabulous way to start the year.
